Launching Inkpots & Acorns’ very first daytime Writers’ Retreat, including a workshop on “How to create characters that are out of your control” with seasoned television and film screenwriter and showrunner, David Freedman.
Kickstarting the day, David will set us up with a morning’s masterclass on how to get those characters we love so much to take charge of their own destiny. To surprise us, to take us on their journey, and to behave badly, without our permission!
This will be followed with an afternoon of goal setting, break-out sessions for those who would like the chance to brainstorm, and most importantly, dedicated writing time.
We know it can be difficult to carve out a whole day, so are offering the opportunity to come along to either the workshop, or to the afternoon of focused writing, if that is a more suitable fit (although of course we’d love to see you for both!)
Morning workshop: 10.00am – 12.30pm
Afternoon writing retreat: 12.30pm – 4.00pm
Full day of delicious writing (including workshop): 10.00am – 4.00pm
